Below is Lisa's nephew Pengfei's 10th birthday party. Folks in China only celebrate birthdays every decade so this was his first. We made it especially nice as we found a baker in distant town to make three birthday cakes

There were about 80 people at the family home for lunch AND dinner. I had glowing chem lights for everyone once the sun went down.

The two rows below shows a special day for me as I was asked to talk to a class of 6th graders in the Dazhou Primary School in Dazhou Town. These student were in school on a Sunday morning to learn English. I spoke at the same school last year and it was also a thrill. Lisa translated my words to the students. The students asked many questions about me and the USA. Thank you to Ms. Wang to allow me to say hello to everyone.

Here I am showing the students pictures that I took during my previous visit to their school. These students were quite a lively bunch and thoroughly enjoyed our time together.

These women work all day knitting high-quality clothes for an unknown buyer. The buyer supplies the material and he picks up the products weekly. A hat is sold for about 25 cents

Below is Hong Kong (HK). This is definitely my favorite place in the world to visit. This was Lisa's first time to HK yet I have been there twice before. HK is a great place for shopping as everything is available at a fraction of the cost elsewhere. It is also a great place for fine dining (also really cheap) and sightseeing. There are all types of people in HK where only 30 miles away in mainland China there are only Chinese. We spent one day sightseeing on HK island and two nights shopping in Kowloon. Kowloon is the main city across the bay from HK island and it is famous for it's night markets. Lisa thoroughly enjoyed bartering with the shop owners. In HK the language is Cantonese and Lisa speaks this fluently.

Below is the new villa of our dear friend Zeng Gong and his wife Ruby. The live just outside of the beautiful city of Hangzhou. This house has eight bedrooms and six bathrooms! It is just outside of a beautiful area called the 'Bamboo forest' as there are miles and miles of dense bamboo trees. The price for the construction including the land is less than $75K USD!
